The last year has been an exceptionally challenging one for our community, and we want you to know that\u00a0we are here for you<\/b>. The UM Counseling Center is a great resource that you can\u00a0learn about here<\/a>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0schedule an appointment with here<\/a>. The University also offers a free, completely anonymous\u00a0self-screening tool<\/a>\u00a0that is intended to help you determine whether you might benefit from additional assistance or support from a mental health professional. Only you see the results, and then decide if you’d like to speak with a UM counselor or an off-campus professional.\u00a0Please also know that you can always reach out to our Dean of Students at deanofstudents@law.miami.edu.<\/div>\n

Additionally, a\u00a0new Miami Law student organization, the Mental Health Collective<\/b>, was formed this semester and you can\u00a0join here<\/a>. Further,\u00a0the American Bar Association has mental health\u00a0resources<\/a>\u00a0available online for law students, as does the Florida Bar in their\u00a0Mental Health and Wellness Center.<\/a>\u00a0You can also click\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0to learn about Miami Law’s “Mindfulness in Law Program.” Finally,\u00a0Headspace<\/i>\u00a0is an awesome app with guided meditations that can help with law school stress or anxiety (it is available at a\u00a0discounted rate<\/a>\u00a0for students).<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
