The Student Bar Association is happy to announce that\u00a0ticket sales for<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>Barrister’s Ball 2022: Welcome to the Jungle have resumed!<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>Please join us on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Jungle Island from 7:30 PM to 12:30 AM for an evening of dinner and dancing.\u00a0<\/b>You can\u00a0purchase tickets now by clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As a reminder, each ticket includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and wine for one person, as well as access to a cash bar.\u00a0Due to the school’s temporary suspension of ticket sales over the virtual learning period,\u00a0the General Ticket Sale ($75\/ticket) will be\u00a0extended<\/u>\u00a0through Friday, February 18th at 11:59 PM<\/b>. Thereafter, the Late Ticket Sale ($115\/ticket) will commence.\u00a0The last day to get a refund for your ticket is next Friday, February 11th at 5:00 PM, and thereafter you may transfer your ticket to another guest by emailing\u00a0events@law.miami.edu<\/u>\u00a0with the transfer information. All refunds and transfers are handled through the Miami Law Events Office,\u00a0not<\/u>\u00a0through SBA.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n To ensure the health and safety of all attendees,\u00a0Barrister’s Ball will be held at a\u00a0beautiful,\u00a0outdoor<\/u>\u00a0venue<\/b>\u00a0within Jungle Island (with a backup plan in place for poor weather). The SBA has also allocated funds for\u00a0buffet servers<\/b>\u00a0to minimize high-touch surfaces, as well as for a\u00a0larger dance floor<\/b>\u00a0to provide additional space between guests.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Additionally, in light of the increased risk factors associated with large-scale events such this one, the University has imposed the following requirements for all Barrister’s Ball attendees. First,\u00a0all attendees\u00a0<\/b>must provide<\/b>proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter<\/b>\u00a0(either a negative PCR test taken no more than 3 days prior to the event, or a negative rapid antigen test taken no more than one day prior to the event), including non-student guests and regardless of vaccination status. Second, properly worn\u00a0masks will be required except when eating or drinking<\/b>\u00a0<\/b>regardless of vaccination status. Guests are encouraged to wash and sanitize their hands often.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n We hope to see you there!
