The ICC, chaired by SBA Secretary Sara Ptachik, met yesterday for the New Student Organization Leaders Orientation. As a follow up to the orientation, the Secretary has a message for all new student organization leaders:
“Congratulations on being elected a student leader for one of our diverse Student Organizations. The ICC looks forward to helping you advance the vision you have for the student experience at Miami Law.”
A few reminders and to-do’s for newly elected student leaders:
- Read the student handbook
- The student handbook should be your first stop in preparing for an effective leader and your first step when a question arises
- Begin strategic planning now!
- Strategic planning should be from May 15 – June 15. The early part of the summer is the best time to lay the foundation for your student organization.
